The Larchmont Metro-North Railroad station serves Larchmont, New York, via the New Haven Line. Though mostly served by Stamford-originating locals, Larchmont is also the last stop on some peak hour trains originating at Harrison.
Larchmont is 18.7 miles from Grand Central Terminal and the average travel time from Grand Central is 40 minutes.
As of August 2006, weekday commuter ridership was 3,648, and there are 1,015 parking spots.[2]
It is the busiest Metro-North station between Stamford and New Rochelle. In 2001, average weekday inbound boardings were 3,584. [1]
The station has two high-level side platforms each 10 cars long. The north platform next to Track 3 is generally used by westbound or Manhattan-bound trains. The south platform next to Track 4 is generally used by eastbound or Connecticut-bound trains.
The New Haven Line has four tracks; the two inner tracks, not next to either platform, are used by express trains.
